| This is the ship's quarterdeck bell retrieved from the ex-USS SPRUANCE. Jim's son, Jay Mike, was the first child born to a member of the ship's first crew. Tradition dictated he be christened aboard ship, and the quarterdeck bell served as the Christening Font. |
